Day two in Vegas. Yeah!! Having a great time

So today we did our walking tour.  Just to see if we could do it.

Started out from the golden nugget.  Headed over to Las Vegas boulevard and then down to the strip we went.  Our point of destination.  The stratosphere. First building we could see.  So we started to head that way.  It took us about three quarters of an hour but we made it to the stratosphere and the downtown strip.

Along the way we saw the pawn stars and the line up outside the door just to go in and see.  Silly, silly people to see a pawn shop.  You can see a pawn shop in any town and you do not need to stand In line to do it.  That is just my opinion though so do. Not take my word for my opinion.  Other people may like this kind of stuff and be ticked at me now.

Now it is just getting warm out there.  So moved to the other side of the street where it was shady.  We made our first stop at the Wynn casino.  There we picked up our tickets for the show we were going to see tonight.  It was called the reve or dream.  Took a little trial and error to find the tickets desk.  Walking through a casino and through some gardens at the front door. That you just had to turn your head and look at everything
Just goergious.  We got turned around a couple of times and well yeah had to ask directions.  Finally found the ticket desk got our tickets for the show at 7 and dinner before.

Next stop was the venicien and to madam trussiau wax museum.  Across a moving ramp and down a flight of stairs and we were there.  Had a ten dollar coupon to get off on a fifty dollar bill going out.  Just a little on the expensive side.  I guess when you are in Vegas or anywhere for that matter.  Prices are a little high.
Lookie lookie I got to sit with levies in his hot rod.  There was also Marilyn Monroe and Johnny depp and just about any celebrate you could think of.  Sports stars, music stars and talk show host.  They were all there.  You would look at them and think that maybe they were real and then you get closer and see that they are statues.  Was interesting to go through.

We then headed through the venician casino.  Well it was not much of a casino more of a shopping paradise.  Some of the clothes in there were just so that I would love to have them.  Then you look at the price and say well maybe not.  Saw a couple of beautiful purple blingy dresses that would have suited just perfect for red hating.  Biput the price that went with them was too much for my taste.  And all the high healed shoes.  Something I love to look at but can not wear as my feet are just too stupid to wear them.  I would probably fall off them and break something anyways.

While we were in the venicien we came to a river in the middle of the mall.  They were giving gondola rides up and down this river.  You look up at the ceiling and it is painted to look like a blue sky day with a few clouds in it.  Makes you feel like you are outside.
Old time Venice is what it depicts.  Was really nice walking through there.

Back out on the street we came to another mall.  Vegas is now full of shopping malls.  All high end and not too much that is down to earth spending, but is nice to look at.  There we stopped at I love burgers and had something to tide us over up until the buffet we were having that night.

So now we have made it part way down the strip.  Decided it was time to cross over to other side and check out what is on the other side.  Pick up some more tickets at treasure island as well for a circus show we are going to see tomorrow night.  Yeah be down on the strip again tomorrow night.

So went into the mirage and headed back to the back corner.  There is the display of Siegfried and Roy.  Their pet habitat is back there.  And yes I got to see the dolphins.  As you can see from the picture above.  This trip cost us another fifty bucks to get in.  It seems like it is going to about that much for everything.
Also saw the white lions as well.  Are they just not so beautiful

Then after that little trek we grabbed the trolley that goes between the mirage and treasure island.  Well that was easier then going out on the road and walking down the street and then back into the next casino.  You know we found the ticket booth allot easier by going in the back way.  And the theatre as well.  So now we have to make and easy route to get back to that tomorrow to see the show.you know just straight back from the side door and we were out on the street heading for the last mall.

This mall was the fashion show mall.  So first finding were the front entrance is.  It seems that all the sores are on the front.  Okay were the heck do you get in the mall at.  Finally found it and started walking through the mall.  Huge place.  Three floors high.  Stores of every description.  And it just goes back and back and back. Does it ever end? Well yeah we finally made it to the back.  Now have to walk all the way to the front again.

We have a couple hours yet before we can enjoy a buffet at the Wynn casino.  We go back over to the Wynn across the road but still too early to eat.  Or we will just be sitting outside the theatre waiting for it to open.  That's is when rob decides that maybe he needs a new pair of shoes.  Since I was talking about the sketchers I was wearing and my feet to hurting too much.

So back across to the fashion mall we go.  There he tries on a couple of pairs of shoes.  Finds a pair that fit.  Well he is down a little money ow and has a new pair of shoes.  Ones with memory foam in them.  Then back across the road we go to enjoy a buffet at the Wynn.

The hostess leads us in.  My gosh food from one end to the other.  Along one wall.  Seafood, salad, soup, beef, turkey and gravy,  pasta and lots and lots of deserts.  Gosh were do you start and what do you eat.  So uh food.  Enjoyed it emencely.

Still a little early.  So took a walk around the encore hotel.   Found the route that we took was the convention part of it.    Very quiet in that area but it brought us back to were the show was going to take place with only a half hour to go now.
Acrobatic and swimming combined to make a show.  Fire water and mist with rising and lowering platforms.  Plus trapezes artist.  It made for a spectacular show.  Lasted and hour and half.  Well worth going to see.  There wasn't a minute were there was not something going on.  Loved the show.

So now today.  I would say we walked about ten maybe more miles.  From the golden nugget to the strip and around some casinos and malls.  Constant walking.  Since it is. Ow dark we got ourselves a three day pass for the bus and road it back up to freemont street.  Now being nine o'clock and the Bon jovi music is playing.  The lights a re a shining bright on freemont street..  I was not going to walk back to this area in the dark.  Too many unlike placeas along that route.  The bus worked just fine for us.  Was time to get off of our feet for awhile anyways.  After sitting I the theatre was getting a little stiff.

So now sit in our room with our feet up enjoying a little down time.

Was a marvolous day and a looking forward to tomorrow as well.  Another day down on the strip.  Another show tomorrow night and going to pick up our tickets for the next night.  That will be the blueman group show. And another buffet along with that.  Let's hope I a not too stiff tomorrow from today.  So far doing pretty good.
