a sea of red hats

a sea of red hats

Sunday 23 February 2014

Another night and the convention has come to an end

Today tried to sleep a little longer but to no avail.  Dang am I getting tired.  It been a long few days of up and around and visiting and walking.  My body told me today to stop.

So this morning we had our last meal together.  A pj breakfast.  Consisted of eggs and bacon and sausage.  More then I usually eat for breakfast.  But hey it did fill the spot.  The rest of the prizes were given out and then we all dispersed heading in our different directions.  Some to the casino, some to the vender room to see if there was any deals left and others had to catch plane to head home.
These are two ladies trim Langley who did a skitt of singing sisters.,  there was a couple of poems read and a few other events done before we left the room.

Here is a beautiful hat that one of the ladies was wearing.  You see were all the sparkly is.  That is a bra and then she added the extra decoration.  These are the rage right now.  You have to have a bra hat in your collection.  Me no I don't and may never have but hey you never know some day I may.  To go along with all the other kookie things I have.

Well after I left the ball room I headed upstairs and changed out of my pjs.  I then yes you guessed it went back to the venders room.  Just had to check it out once more.  And you I am proud of myself I did not buy anything except the photo DVD of all the pictures taken at the event.  I may not be in many of them, but it is fun to have and just look through.

I said goodbye to Emma and her ladies in waiting.  Emma told me that the afghan I made for the event had a box full of ballets to try to win it.  So it seems that allot of ladies liked my afghan.  So the next two quilts I am making should go over just a great.  Now just to get them done and sent off.

So after my goodbyes and such I headed back up to the room.  Maybe just a little lay down for a few minutes to stop my body from telling me I need to stop.  Well three hours later I woke up.  I think I needed the sleep.  Should listen to my body a little more.  Felt good though just to rest for a little while.

There was a diva show tonight that some of the ladies were going to.  Yeah I had a ticket to it too but the way I was feeling I decided to forgo it.  Maybe jus take it easy for the rest of the night.

Well you know that did not exactly happen.  Rob was going to a circus show tonight.  One of the ones that is more on the raunchy side then the ones we saw a few days ago.  So I road down on the transit bus with him and decide to maybe stroll around a little and look at some things we didn't get to look at the first few times we were down there.  I thought about getting a shirt.  Something I usually do when I go someplace. Get a tshirt.

Well rob went his way to NYNY to go to his show and I went the other way.  I wanted to see the belagio water fountains go off.  I got there just as they were about to start
Interesting how the water can spray one way and then another to music.  I loved watching and stayed to watch a second time.  Then I checked out the mall for a few minutes.  These malls are too pricy for me but are nice to wander through and say what if.

I then crossed the road heading back towards were I said I would meet up with rob.  I walked through the one mile mall.  Another one that looked lookie it was too pricy for me.  What I was thinking is maybe something to eat that didn't have to do with any expensive resteraunt or sit down place.  Hand not found anything that looked like what I really wanted to eat.

Came out of there on the wrong area and found myself on a side street.  So had to walk a little ways to find the boulevard again.  Next stop was at hotel Paris.  I decided I wanted to go to the top and see las vgas from up higher.  Get a view.
Isn't the view great.  Got to see a belagio show from up there as well.
Just beautiful!!!  Well time is now passing.  I said I would meet up with him around 8:30 or so.  His show would be over by then.  So last two stops.  Took a look in the coke store.  Two floors dedicated to coca cola
Then I headed to the m and m store.  Four floors dedicated to m and m's  but hey they lied there are only three floors.  The last one is under construction.
But look at this, wall to wall candy in every flavour they make.  Just pick out what you want and fill you back.  I could go for that but then you know how much weight I might put back on with that.  There was a tshirt in there I might have bought but my suitcase is not going to hold anymore.  It said I am stuck between two nuts..  No didn't buy it.  Well not souvenir tshirt on this trip.  All the better anyways.

I guess that is it for today.  Only a couple more days here and then we head for home.  I hope the snow is gone by then.  I have been hearing from home it is snowing in my home town.  I don't really want to drive from the airport in that.  Well should be gone by the time we get home.  Here is hoping anyways.

Tomorrow we are going to walk a or to the neon light museum.  Or scrap pile as some call it.  I think it will be interesting to see some of the old signs that were on the buildings around here many years ago.  Hope it is not too far away to walk.  My computer says  about a 15 minute walk.  Well that will be better then the walk we made to the strip one day.

So now off to relax time.  Talk again tomrrow

Saturday 22 February 2014

Another day done and one more to go then convention is over.

So up not so bright and early this morning.  Thank goodness for that.  I am getting bags under me eyes from too much fun.

Here is my two dress ups for the day.  What cha think

I clean up pretty good don't cha think.  Well for the effort I put into putting this outfit together I got some rave reviews.  Didn't win the visor contest though.  Yeah that hat is made out of a visor.  I guess it took it too soon to be voted on, but I wanted to wear it tonight so got to the room when it was opened and picked it up.  Thought they may have done their voting on it after tea but I guess not.  Oh well didn't need to bring anything more home anyways.

This morning was a tea down in the ball room.  We had certain tables we had to eat at to get to know our table mates.  Met a nice lady from chiiliwack she sat beside me and we talked a bit.  The meal consisted of turkey on bread with some gravey and a salad and mashed potatoes.  Very delish.  Then a piece of Apple pie for desert.  A couple of skits were done and a few prizes were given out.  No win there. Oh well I still say did not need to bring anything more home.

We then had Elvis in the room.  He sang a few song did pictures with the ladies and all round entertained us.

Went back to the room after and changed into some more comfy cloths.  Rob was not in the room so went out for a bit of a walk.  Stopped at the vender first.  Yes I am not buying anything just looking.  Oops saw something that might fit the bill for tonight.  Hmmm do I have 30 dollars in my wallet.  My credit card is not on me.  Shucks oh yes I do but that is going to leave me with no money with me right now.  Yes I guess I am going to buy it.  Silly me.  You should not have gone in there.  Well I bought another peacock because the earrings were a better colour then the ones I had.  So now I have some more peacocks for jewelry.  I guess I can use them someplace. Mean always use a little more bling.

After that took a little stroll down Fremont street just to get a little air.  There was lots of people there today.  And a band was playing in one of the stands.  I took a stroll through a couple of stores and yes did not buy a thing.  Good for me.  I had no money in my purse anyways so how could I have bought anything.  Good thinking.

I came back to the room and rob was back there.  Said he had headed over to Denny's to get something to eat.  He keeps thinking about some artist doing spray paintings up the strip and thinks that maybe he would like to buy one.  They are nice pictures but the same as me how do you get it home.  That is always the question.

I started my prep for the costume I was wearing tonight.  That showgirl costume you saw above.

So walking down the hall towards the ballroom.  I got so many stares and people wanting to take my picture.  I guess my outfit was a big success.  I had a few ladies taking my picture as well   Well I got some rave reviews so I guess I had done a good job.

We had our meal of chicken and potatoes and salad.  Cheese cake for desert.  Then prizes were given out.  Well I did win two hats.  Yep something else to take home.  I think I might be in trouble now.  Then the ladies danced the night away.

The night was great fun.  Good friends and lots of laughs and dang allot of fun!  That is what red hatting is all about.

Well have to head for bed.  Tomorrow is a pj breakfast in the ballroom.  Talk to you tomorrow night.

Friday 21 February 2014

Much fun had today, ummm!! Shopping, shopping, shopping. Yeas!!!

Today was the first day the venders were opened.

Up and Adam and moving.  Got to get to the venders so you can get the good stuff before anyone else.  Well for me I wasn't really looking for anything except another big bad hat.  I know you can never have enough stuff but hey. I can always be good for once.  Since I bought quite a bit at the quilting tour.  I wandered around the venders and looked and looked and hummed and hawed.  I tried ona. Few but they just didn't seem to have it for me.  There was one on a back table but I couldn't really get to it.  So bide my time and hope that the table clears out.  Well that wasn't going to happen.  So I decided to come back later maybe I would have better luck.  That is if that hat was still there.
Just look at all the stuff.  Many many purple and red items.  So many tables to look at.bling bling everywhere.  What the heck to look at first.  Well you can't look at much because there is always someone else who wants to look at the same stuff too.  No I better be good.  No more room to bring something home.  But well you know. I might need it for something coming up.  No be good,  walk away.

Okay so I returned again later in the day.  Just couldn't resist another look.  The first hat I tried on had too many feathers around the bottom.  All I could see was feathers.  So that one was out.  Then I tried on another from the same vender.  It kinda went lopsided and heavy on one side of my head.  No it was a very nice hat but just did not fit without falling off.  So much for that vender.  So I circled and waited.  That other hat was still back in the corner.  Well I tried it on.  Oh oh,  I now have another hat.  But I should not buy it how do I get it home.  Then I was told it looks so good on you.  Fits just like it should.  That hat is made for you.  This was not the vender telling me this but other ladies.  The vender said are you going to be sorry if you do not buy it.  Do you just love it or is it something that does not suit you.  Well I thought for a whole minute.  How much.  Credit card spoing!!!  Heap I did it.  And now wonder can I get it home.  Yes I can. Like the train says I think I can I think I can I think I can.  I will!!!!

I know not very good picture but wait till you see it on me.  Well tomorrow I be good and stay away from the venders or I might do something else stupid.  Oh yeah I bought a Vegas pin for my hat and a blingy thing I am going to use as a garter with my outfit tomorrow night.  Wait till you see my outfit.  It is pretty weird I say.  But I tried.
Here is the front entrance were registration is.  Nice setup display.

After I did a little shopping tried my luck at the slot machines again.  Well you know my luck in with a couple of dollars and gone in an instant.  At least I stopped sooner then I usually do.  I still have a little money in my wallet so I can do things.  Well that may be a matter of opinion on how much I am spending on this trip.  With the shows and stuff I cost a little more then I usually spend on a trip.  But the shows were worth it

So tonight after all the shopping the real fun starts to happen.  We get a buffet style meal tonight and then a show afterwards.  So I get all gussied up and rob is still in his jeans a tshirt.
Gold fever I dressed for.  Well the dress was gold anyways.  And a little gold bling.
We head down to the buffet.  Decide to get there early enough so we do not have to wait in line.  Are there about 4:30 and go straight in.  Oh my gosh food valour.  Salads, soup,  roast beef and ham,  mashed potatoes, corn on the cob,  seafood of shrimp and oysters and sushi, macaroni and noodles.   Plenty of deserts to go around.  There was no end to the food.  Delish it was.

We then wandered around a little bit until it is time for the show. Checking out what is happening around the casino.  Not much different then before except that there are allot of red hats out there.

It is now 6:45 and we head upstairs to get in line for the show.    Not too many ladies there yet.  But a few.  Rob says he feels out of place.  All these ladies and he is not wearing a red hat.  Well I could have let him borrow one of mine.  Not on your life mom!!!

The doors open a few minutes later and we find ourself paves at opposite sides of the theatre.  Well that is great.  So rob heads his way and I head mine.  I think I got the two tickets mixed up as he is sitting with my table mates and I am over with ladies I will not be sitting with.  Oops!  Well ht e theatre fills up.  Red and purple in almost every seat.  What a sight to see.
I know I know.  Pictures a little fuzzy.  But you get the gist of it.

All the seats were filled. And now we wait.  The show did not start until fifteen minutes late.  Once it got started though.  Dang was it funny.  Every impression he did may have not been bang on but they were good.  And he made fun of just about anyone.  He tried to tune it down a little as it was a bunch of ladies in the audience.  I think he must make it a little more raunchier then what he did.  But gosh it was still funny.  His name is Gordy Brown.  He does the stand up for before Celine Dion goes on when she is touring.  He did Clint Eastwood, Sammy Davis jr, jack Nicolas, Robert denaro, frank Sinatra,  and many many more finishing off with Elvis.  I say it was a great show.

After the show was over getting out of the theatre and finding rob as he was not anywhere I was.  He got out before me and was waiting on the outside.  Yes he was sitting with my table mates.  Oops!!!

So now another day gone by.  Had a great day.  A little shopping.  A little dressing up and a little eating.  Tomorrow another great day of fun with the group.

Thursday 20 February 2014

Hello all. Convention has started. Well at least the preliminaries of fun and meeting everyone

So today started out with having to get up a little earlier then I usually do.  Lovely,  I am just a little sleepy here.  Was up the night before and didn't sleep too well last night.

So go myself up and moving.  Rob just rolled over and went back to sleep.  Lucky sawd he was.  I think he may have spent the whole day here as well.  Just went out and had some dinner and then came back to the room and watched tv.  Hmmm got to get him out doing something.  He has thought a little about going to another show but I do not know if that will happen.  Anyways enough about my son and how he lives his life.  It is Vegas go out and check out something or rather. Bayou only get here so often you know.

So why did I get up early.  Well to go on a quilting tour.  See some quilt shops around the area.  There was about 16 ladies went on this tour.  Shopping, shopping, shopping.  That's what it was about and yes looking at the quilts they had hung in their shops.  Na it was the shopping.
Am I right or am I right.  The material in these shops were just what was needed.  Or maybe not mpneeded but it was fun to buy and figure out what you might make out of it.  Yes I did buy too.  Brought a bag back to the room that now I have to figure out how to get it home.  Um!!!  Rob you got room in your suitcase.  My was overfull on the way down here.  I don't think it is going to get any lighter on the way home.
Here's the ladies and their bags of goodies at our last stop.  The picture above is of sue who was our tour guide for the day.  She is a quilter and knows all the best places to go.  The trip was fun and we had allot of laughs all day long.  There was a meal also.  Everything was home made.  No canned stuff.  All made from scratch.  Gosh that meal was good.

We got back to the hotel around three o'clock.  And up to the room with our parcels.  Some were smart and sent them back parcel post.  Maybe I should have too but I think it will fit in someplace.  Had a good day.

After an hour in the room, were I was hoping to maybe get in a nap which was to no availe for me.  I just nodded off and then my cell phone rang.  Great thought something may have happened at home or maybe rob got into something.  It was a dang telemarketer.  No thanks do not want.  Stop calling me.  Would be nice.

So got dressed for the pirate dinner tonight.
Ha don't I look just smashing.  Well that is a matter of opinion I guess.  Got to wear my new shirt I made and bussle .  I know you really can't see the bussle but it is there.  Over my already big butt.

Went down the elevator and met up with some ladies that were down stairs waiting to head over there.  No one really knew were it was and since I had already figured it out kinda led the way.well with the help of Lynnette.  She became capiton and led the way until she realized she was suppose to be meeting some ladies at Starbucks to walk down with them.  So I headed off with three of the ladies to head on down freemont street.

When we got there,  there was allot of ladies already there sitting in the bar waiting for the doors to open.  The outfits varied from very simple to very elaborate.  Really interesting to see what some ladies will come up with.
There was lots of talkand meeting up with people you have not seen in awhile.  Just talk ingot o on email or Facebook.  Me I did not know too many so as usual found a place to sit with some ladies from Quebec and enjoy the view of what was unfolding.  Dinner was served as a buffet.  Everyone got up at once to stand in line to get some food.  Meal was good maybe not as filling as some would like but it was good.

There was some draws done afterwards.  Were a fifty fifty draw was made.  And then a few door prizes were given out as well.  Ladies started pestering out after that heading back to their hotels.

Last stop for the night.  A meet and greet at the pool.  There was allot of ladies there.  Coming in and out.  Sitting around the fire.  Always some different people to see.  I sat with some ladies from California and then migrated over to an international group that included a lady from England.  One from New Zealand.  A couple from Langley bc and Washington state.  I stayed for about and hour then getting a little chilly headed back to the room.

So today was a very busy day.  Saw lots of ladies from Facebook friend.  Well at least put people to the faces I see on the computer.  Was a bit of a long day for me, but it was a good day..  Just have to work up the courage to get to know these ladies instead of just looking at them and saying oh that is so and so.

Well I am trying.  Just takes me a bit.

Talk again tomorrow.

Wednesday 19 February 2014

Blueman group tonight. That was a show worth watching

Today was a kind of rest day.  We stayed in bed a little later and when we did get up just kinda sat around the room saying okay what do we do now.

Well finally got our bits in gear and headed over to the mob museum.  It was interesting and some of it not so interesting.  Took an hour to walk through  and see all there was in info about the mob from their not so humble beginnings to were they are today and how they were caught or still at large.  How people had disappeared and not been found.  All the killing that has gone on over the years to make the mob what it was or maybe still is today.  Makes you kinda think of all the stories that have been around over the years and the movies they did on these people.
This is the money vault showing the amount of money that would go through the casino in a day.
This is the electric chair at sing sing that was used on allot of the mobsters that were caught.

The mob museum made them to be heros who lived the good life until the FBI took them down a notch.

After we were at the mob museum we picked up a couple of muffins and went up stairs for a few minutes.  Had a little snack and then I went down stairs to register for the convention.  Signed in and picked up my goodie bag and all the tickets I will need for some shows that I am going to with the group.  Talked a few minutes witht the ladies and then headed back up stairs with my loot.

Sat for a few miniatures then said okay lets head down the strip again and check out a few places we just glanced at yesterday.  Had a little bit of time to kill before we had to be at blueman group show.

Got off the bus at the belagio. Were going to watch the fountains do their thing.  The wind was up though and hats were flying off.  Had to hold onto them.  An announcement came over the speakers saying that the show had been cancelled because of higher then normal windy conditions.  Gee and it was the first time we were there when they were suppose to go off.   Missed them again.  Maybe will be down around there once more before we go home. Never know.

So crossed over to other side of the strip.  Walked a little further to the south and went into the coke store.  There is a store down here dedicated to the product of coca cola.  It has two floors.  From glasses to cans, bottles, bottle openers, coolers and clothing.  My gosh how much stuff they can think of for coke products.  Well!!  Two doors down is a store dedicated to m and m's. This store has four floors.  We did not make it all the way through as we had to head back over to Monte Carlo to get our dinner at the pub and then go to the blue man show.

Another meal that went with a show.  This one was in the pub at the Monte Carlo.    You get two parts to your meal and everything else you order is extra.  Rob got the quesadeas and chicken and I had the ceaser sald and a burger.  Huge salad and huge burger.  Could not finish it.  Along with a very chocolaty milk shake.  Was delish but gosh just so much food.

Okay here goes the show.  We walk in and are escorted to the front seats.  Oh, oh we are going to get wet.  The seats beside us have rain ponchos but our seats do not.  The attendant says that these seat do not get any spray. Newell she better be right.

While we sit there waiting for show to start two eyeballs come out from backstage and start floating around the room.
They float around by remote control for about ten minutes.  Then they make their way to back stag again.  Then the curtain falls and the show begins.  Loud loud music. And the blue man dance around the stag doing all sorts of things to make notice of music with PVC piping.  Then they go into and act that has to do with the brain.  They start making allot of noise with other items to show how brainwaves work.  They get people from the audience to participate with their act.  Just so darn funny to watch.  Then comes the end were they make smoke rings by banging on drums
Got pretty smokyy after that.  Then they started to were there was balls falling from the ceiling and the audience was bouncing them around.  As the ball were being bounced around the toilet paper throwers came out and just made a big mess everywhere
That show was just one laugh after another.

Then there was the photo op afterwards.

Now on our way back to hotel.  The bus we were on filled to the brim going up the strip.at least we got on before all these other people did.  Made it back here for another day.

Tomorrow will be a busy day for me.  First thing in the morning I am doing a quilt tour.  Going to see some of the quilt shops around the area.  That night I dress up like a pirate and go to a pirate dinner.  This one is in hennessy's pub.  So I have to get back to room on time change into pirate outfit and walk down freemont street in a privat outfit.  Well first geeky thing I am doing.  Then walk back through Fremont street to get back to hotel after the dinner and change into some regular clothes and head down to pool for a meet and greet to get to know some of the ladies that I am going to be with for the mepnext few days.

At this time rob will be on his own.  He hasn't figured out what to do yet but I think he will not have any problem.

So until tomorrow night.

Day three in Vegas. Feet are getting a workout

Well day three of our trip to Vegas.  Red hatting gold fever is getting closer.  But for now am having a blast with my son.
Yes and a lot of walking.  So today instead of walking all the way down to the strip we caught the bus at freemont street.  Aw much easier and really much easier on the feet as well.

We got off at ceaser casino made our way around the construction that is going on there.  Making it hard to get around.  Had to walk through the mall to get to the casino and get out the other side.

Our first stop was at Monte Carlo to pick up tickets for tomorrow nights show.  Will be having dinner and show of the blue man group.  Oh this one is going to be fun to watch.

After we were sure we had our tickets we headed south on right side of strip.  Checking out casinos and malls.  Until we got to the lexor were we took in the exhibits of bodies and the titanic.  It would have been great to get a few pictures in there but they would not let anyone take pictures.  They had a replica of the staircase in the upper deck.  I think that might have been a great place to have a picture taken in all my red hat galour.  But was not wearing it so had to just think of what a great picture it would have been.

Our last stop on the right side of strip was montalay bay.  There we saw the shark exhibit.
You can walk down through the tank and see all the fish and rays and sharks.  Interesting point of view to see it from.

From there we headed back up until we could cross over to left side of strip.  We then walked along the left side checking out malls and casinos.  Then it started to get a little later then we thought and had to start hoofing it to get back up to treasure island.  That was were our show was tonight.

Made it back with half hour to spare.  The doors were already opened so we walked in and phew!!!  Sat down for a while.

The show for tonight was circus show called mysterie.  It started out with a host walking around and trying to seat people were they were not suppose to be.  He continued his high jinks for a while.  Making everyone laugh.  Then the acrobatics came out were flying high.  It was amazing and funny all at the same time.  I totally enjoyed this show.

After show was over we headed out of casino and hoofed it for the nearest bus stop.  We kinda got on a different bus then last night and headed in another direction from were we did the night before.  But low and behold we did make it back to freemont street just in a bit of a round about way.  Stopped at Denny's and had a bit to eat before coming back to the room to put our feet up for the night.

Tomorrow is going to be a little slower day for us I think.  Will check out stuff around this area.  Rob wants to see the mob museum which is around here and I want to register before I go down for the show tomorrow night.

Blue mand we are going to see along with a dinner before.  This should be another show worthwhile seeing.

So until tomorrow.

Day two in Vegas. Yeah!! Having a great time

So today we did our walking tour.  Just to see if we could do it.

Started out from the golden nugget.  Headed over to Las Vegas boulevard and then down to the strip we went.  Our point of destination.  The stratosphere. First building we could see.  So we started to head that way.  It took us about three quarters of an hour but we made it to the stratosphere and the downtown strip.

Along the way we saw the pawn stars and the line up outside the door just to go in and see.  Silly, silly people to see a pawn shop.  You can see a pawn shop in any town and you do not need to stand In line to do it.  That is just my opinion though so do. Not take my word for my opinion.  Other people may like this kind of stuff and be ticked at me now.

Now it is just getting warm out there.  So moved to the other side of the street where it was shady.  We made our first stop at the Wynn casino.  There we picked up our tickets for the show we were going to see tonight.  It was called the reve or dream.  Took a little trial and error to find the tickets desk.  Walking through a casino and through some gardens at the front door. That you just had to turn your head and look at everything
Just goergious.  We got turned around a couple of times and well yeah had to ask directions.  Finally found the ticket desk got our tickets for the show at 7 and dinner before.

Next stop was the venicien and to madam trussiau wax museum.  Across a moving ramp and down a flight of stairs and we were there.  Had a ten dollar coupon to get off on a fifty dollar bill going out.  Just a little on the expensive side.  I guess when you are in Vegas or anywhere for that matter.  Prices are a little high.
Lookie lookie I got to sit with levies in his hot rod.  There was also Marilyn Monroe and Johnny depp and just about any celebrate you could think of.  Sports stars, music stars and talk show host.  They were all there.  You would look at them and think that maybe they were real and then you get closer and see that they are statues.  Was interesting to go through.

We then headed through the venician casino.  Well it was not much of a casino more of a shopping paradise.  Some of the clothes in there were just so that I would love to have them.  Then you look at the price and say well maybe not.  Saw a couple of beautiful purple blingy dresses that would have suited just perfect for red hating.  Biput the price that went with them was too much for my taste.  And all the high healed shoes.  Something I love to look at but can not wear as my feet are just too stupid to wear them.  I would probably fall off them and break something anyways.

While we were in the venicien we came to a river in the middle of the mall.  They were giving gondola rides up and down this river.  You look up at the ceiling and it is painted to look like a blue sky day with a few clouds in it.  Makes you feel like you are outside.
Old time Venice is what it depicts.  Was really nice walking through there.

Back out on the street we came to another mall.  Vegas is now full of shopping malls.  All high end and not too much that is down to earth spending, but is nice to look at.  There we stopped at I love burgers and had something to tide us over up until the buffet we were having that night.

So now we have made it part way down the strip.  Decided it was time to cross over to other side and check out what is on the other side.  Pick up some more tickets at treasure island as well for a circus show we are going to see tomorrow night.  Yeah be down on the strip again tomorrow night.

So went into the mirage and headed back to the back corner.  There is the display of Siegfried and Roy.  Their pet habitat is back there.  And yes I got to see the dolphins.  As you can see from the picture above.  This trip cost us another fifty bucks to get in.  It seems like it is going to about that much for everything.
Also saw the white lions as well.  Are they just not so beautiful

Then after that little trek we grabbed the trolley that goes between the mirage and treasure island.  Well that was easier then going out on the road and walking down the street and then back into the next casino.  You know we found the ticket booth allot easier by going in the back way.  And the theatre as well.  So now we have to make and easy route to get back to that tomorrow to see the show.you know just straight back from the side door and we were out on the street heading for the last mall.

This mall was the fashion show mall.  So first finding were the front entrance is.  It seems that all the sores are on the front.  Okay were the heck do you get in the mall at.  Finally found it and started walking through the mall.  Huge place.  Three floors high.  Stores of every description.  And it just goes back and back and back. Does it ever end? Well yeah we finally made it to the back.  Now have to walk all the way to the front again.

We have a couple hours yet before we can enjoy a buffet at the Wynn casino.  We go back over to the Wynn across the road but still too early to eat.  Or we will just be sitting outside the theatre waiting for it to open.  That's is when rob decides that maybe he needs a new pair of shoes.  Since I was talking about the sketchers I was wearing and my feet to hurting too much.

So back across to the fashion mall we go.  There he tries on a couple of pairs of shoes.  Finds a pair that fit.  Well he is down a little money ow and has a new pair of shoes.  Ones with memory foam in them.  Then back across the road we go to enjoy a buffet at the Wynn.

The hostess leads us in.  My gosh food from one end to the other.  Along one wall.  Seafood, salad, soup, beef, turkey and gravy,  pasta and lots and lots of deserts.  Gosh were do you start and what do you eat.  So uh food.  Enjoyed it emencely.

Still a little early.  So took a walk around the encore hotel.   Found the route that we took was the convention part of it.    Very quiet in that area but it brought us back to were the show was going to take place with only a half hour to go now.
Acrobatic and swimming combined to make a show.  Fire water and mist with rising and lowering platforms.  Plus trapezes artist.  It made for a spectacular show.  Lasted and hour and half.  Well worth going to see.  There wasn't a minute were there was not something going on.  Loved the show.

So now today.  I would say we walked about ten maybe more miles.  From the golden nugget to the strip and around some casinos and malls.  Constant walking.  Since it is. Ow dark we got ourselves a three day pass for the bus and road it back up to freemont street.  Now being nine o'clock and the Bon jovi music is playing.  The lights a re a shining bright on freemont street..  I was not going to walk back to this area in the dark.  Too many unlike placeas along that route.  The bus worked just fine for us.  Was time to get off of our feet for awhile anyways.  After sitting I the theatre was getting a little stiff.

So now sit in our room with our feet up enjoying a little down time.

Was a marvolous day and a looking forward to tomorrow as well.  Another day down on the strip.  Another show tomorrow night and going to pick up our tickets for the next night.  That will be the blueman group show. And another buffet along with that.  Let's hope I a not too stiff tomorrow from today.  So far doing pretty good.
