First day in Sacramento

Well it wasn't as bad as I thought traveling without my hubby.  Pretty well a piece of cake.  What was I worried about.  Oh yeah. I am still a chicken, but now a chicken with wings.

Today getting up at the crack of dawn.  Walking the dogs and having some breakie.  Then checking on last minute things before I headed to Norma's place.  Her hubby is driving us down.  Very nice of him.  And will be picking us up when we come back.

Here is a few of the ladies waiting for the airplane to come in.  We got there a little early, which is good just in case something might happen on the way to airport.  We flew out of Bellingham.  This is a new experience for me.  I have always taken the easy way and headed for abbotsford.  But that trip would have taken me backwards and then forwards.  So out of Bellingham we went.    It is a very small airport and easy to maneuver around.  Straight through security and then waiting on the other side for the plane.  There are at least five gates to go from but they are all in a row.

So to board the plane just walk out on the Tarmac and climb the stairs to the seating.  The plane was a two proper.  A little smaller then what I am use to  but was okay.  We all had seats together.  Two in front of me and two over on other side of isle.  Considering I got my ticket at a different time the the rest of them did.  Well. Y hat box would not fit in the overhead compartment.  Hmmmm!  Will it fit under the seat in front on me.  Boy I got lucky there it did fit.  Then I just scrunched my purse behind my legs and hope the attendants did not see that it was not secured someplace.

So the flight takes about 35 minutes to get to Seattle were we were to board a bigger plane to head to Sacramento.  We have a nice easy flight.  Up we go and then level for awhile and then down again.  The landing was a little bumpy but was okay. Next flight we had to find right away.  It was going to board about the time we got off the other plane.  So hope that it is close by.not too bad a walk that was.  Just a few gates down.

Now they are loading people on already when we get down to that gate.  Good did not miss it.  Now look at we're everyone is sitting.  All the rest are at the back part of the plane and little old me is up at front.  Just behind the first class passengers.  Well I was sitting in the middle seat but I sure had leg room.  BONUS!!!    This flight took two and half hours.  From Seattle to Sacramento.  The view out the window was great.  Could see mountains glamour

Here is a picture of mount rainier   As we got further south the countryside got to be more sandy looking then what we were looking at first.  You could see all the fields of the farms below.  They are all square looking where if you look when you are crossing Canada you see circles.  I stared out the window and the decided to reed for awhile as I was just getting no where on seeing outside all the time..  Think I had a little cat nap in there as well.

So now finally land in Sacramento.  Big enough airport.  I am one of the first ones off so wait awhile for the rest of the ladies to get off.  Then we make our way to baggage claim.  You have to get on a train to get to the baggage claim and ground transportation.  Waiting and waiting and then finally the carousel turns on and out comes the luggage.  Oh there is mine one of the first ones.  Good I won't be naked for the week.  Bev agreed that that would be a good thing.

Ground transportation next.  We are on a shuttle to the hotel where we are staying.  Long drive for something that looks so short on e map.  Dropped off two other people at other hotels and then back into just so much traffic,  at least there is air conditioning in the shuttle.  It is pretty dang warm out there.

So after an hour riding in the shuttle we make it to the hotel.  Huge hotel I mean.  It is big.  With at least six wings for guest.  Time to check in.  First they give me a room in a different wing then the rest of the ladies.  Well that got changed pretty quick.  Now I am just down the hall from them.

I have a very nice room and you came see I have Internet as well.  A room all to myself as I don't think I would feel comfortable sharing a room.  For now it is good this way for me.  So I can mess up one bed one night and then mess up the other bed the next.

So now here we all are.  The only Canadians going to this convention.  According to the ladies running the convention we are the first Canadians to go to one of these conventions.  And as for me it is my first convention ever.  I am being called a daring darling as I am on my own with out any other ladies going from my group.  Well this chicken is spreading her wings.  If chickens can fly I am one of them

So now first night in hotel.  Lovely dinner in the hotel. Plans are made for tomorrow.  A few are getting up early and heading to Denny's and then heading for old Sacramento to look around.  A few others including me are staying in bed a little longer and then heading to brunch a little later.  That's me not an early riser.  If I don't get the sleep I need I will be toast.

So that is it for today.  Can use the Internet for a couple hours at night to keep ya up to date on my fun, fun, fun.  If you are really interested.  I know I don't go into too much detail but I give you an idea..

So two more days until the real fun begins.  These ladies have been filing me in on how much there will be to do.  I think I will  be over whelmed here.  But I also am happy I am doing this.  Well at least so far.

Again that is it for today.  Talk to you again tomorrow night.  Time to snore my night away.

Three day of crafting and an afternoon tea. Funvations coming up soon

I had the past three days off. So decided it was time to catch up on some crafts.
This shawl I have been working on for ages..  Knitting, knitting, knitting..  That was the easy part.  Just start small and then slowly adding stitches to make it bigger and bigger.  Making a triangle. Then add a fringe to the outside of red, purple and white..  Now comes the hard part.  Beading.  Yeah!!!   No pattern to follow just doing by heart.  Well I do have a picture to look at to figure out where I should be putting beads.  So first I put on the words.  One bead at a time.  That took a few hours.. I looked at the clock once and seen oh my goodness. It is four o'clock in the morning. Great.  I got to get some sleep.  I didn't think it was that late.  Put down the beads and go to bed.  But I only have a little more to do of this.  Not put down the beads. Well okay I put down the beads.

Next day I am back at it again..  Um no I had to go to work.  Great early shift and no dang sleep.  What the hell was I thinking to stay up so late the night before.  Well at least it is a short shift.  After the short shift I decided to take a break from crafting.  Well went shopping instead.

Blingy blingy blingy.  I found these beautiful gems and half price to boot.  Then into another store and found a pair of shoes to help accent an outfit I have to put together for a convention I am going to.  A nice small heal.  I can not wear the high heals anymore. Then there was the dress I found.  Seventy percent off.  Yes!!!  Out fit is complete.

Shopping is great but got to keep to my budget.  Anyways so now I think I have all I need to be blingy and dressy as well..  Well shopping done and I was back to the grind of crafting.   Trying to get caught up on my crafting.  I have about three or four projects on the go right now. Knitting and then beading a shawl.  Then there was a shawl I was crocheting.  Then I have a poncho on the go.  Last but not least there is a cross stitch I am working on.  All right now piled on my dining room table.

Well I am proud to say.  I have the crocheted shawl done

Then I have the poncho finished

Nice picture of me taken in bathroom.  Well it does show the poncho..  And from picture above you can see I  have finished the beading and painting on the rosé shawl I was working on.  That was a couple of very long days of working my butt off.  Now I am writing about it.  Taking a breather here.  I was up late just watching the boob tube and working on my crafts.

Proud of myself. Getting caught up.  Still one to go. The cross stitch to work on.  Well it will have to sit on my table for a while.  It is half done as you can see.
Sometime I should get around to that.

Lets see what else have I been working on.  Oh yeah I made a pirate wall hanging
This was sewn all hand sewing.  I do not have a sewing machine but thought I could do this. And it was a idea I had so just went with it. This one will be donated to the pirate dinner I am going to.

Well speaking of sewing I decided then I needed a chair backer to cover a chair at a convention  so I am able to find my seat again if I get up to go somewhere.  Also so no one takes my chair and I don't have one any more.

This is the front and the back..  Along with that I started decorating some hats I have around here.
Just keeping myself busy.  Well way too busy.  I do love my crafts and it keeps my hands busy. The there is the afghan I made a few months ago
This afghan is going to Vegas with me.  It is a donation for a prize at the Vegas convention I am going to.

Well talking of conventions I have one coming up next week.  I am excited and chicken all at the same time.  I am going on my own.  Well I will be traveling with a few other ladies, but yes it is just me going on my own. I said yes I want to go a few months ago and now that it is getting this close I am saying what the hell am I doing.  I never venture off on my own.  I usually am with someone else(like my hubby)   But this is me going with no backup.  I am thinking what the hell am I doing.

Well I am going.  Paid my money and I am going.  Just have to keep my nerve up.  My nails will be down to knuckles before I go though.

So today took a bit of a break.  Today was an outing.  A tea in abbotsford   About eighty ladies getting together to enjoy each others company.  We where celebrating the members who are over eighty.  There were sixteen ladies all ranging from eighty to ninety who love being red hatters.
Me I got all gussied up for it
I clean up pretty good don't you think.  I went to this tea and as usual not too much to say.  I am a quiet person and it is hard for me to talk with people.  I sat and listened to the conversations going on around me. It was a little hot in there.  We celebrated and then we had this delicious chocolate cupcake with filling.  Donated by thrifty foods.
It was yummy. And a little ring was stuffed in the icing.  What a lovely gift. And a rosé too.  I brought those home and put them in my scrapbook along with a few pictures I took.

So my day has been spent taking a break from my crafts.  Going to a tea and then blogging here tonight.  No crafting today.  It will keep me up all night and I have to work in the morning.  Lovely.  I was enjoying my time off.  Well it was only two and a half days but it felt like heaven just to sit and craft and do a little shopping.

So over the next four days I am stuck at work.  Four days of eight hour shifts.  Lovely.  Then I am free for seven days.  These seven days will be spent in Sacramento.   My first funvations.  I still don't know what to think.  I am still chicken.  Everyone is telling me this will be fun.  But for me a quiet non talking person who does not socialize very much.  Just blogging and facebook.  No face  to face. Does not dress up very much. Pony tail and track pants are the norm for me to be wearing. I am going to make the best of this.  I better because I have signed up for allot more and I am going to all of them.  I have made friends on Facebook and do want to meet these ladies in person..

Yeah!  But I am still a chicken.

Well that is my last word on the subject. So now you have had my boring interest in my crafting of lately.  And of my idea on going to these places.  I have to try or I will just kick myself for not trying.

So for the next few days you will get my call on the funvention I am going to.  It will be from a quiet  and reserved person who is not sure how to have fun.  So ladies help me out here, but I think I am a lost cause.

A night of adventure on the high seas. Well englishbay at least

Boarding boat. English bay Vancouver

Out on the water .  Many boats vying for  space to geta good view

Sun set over the water

Lions gate bridge

Vancouver after dark

Canada's fireworks display

The top level of the boat we sailed on

More fireworks

And even more

Well here is an adventure for the books.

A night of fireworks, a view to remember, and well I can say it a night to go into the back memory to come out on a few occasions just to have a laugh or two.  Wellaybelrmaybe not.

A few weeks ago a tour group sent out an event to go see the fire works in Vancouver when Canada was putting off their display in a completion.  So I put my name in to go along and see what is was like.      It was tone a red hat event.

So I book the day off work and the next on or at least  the morning.  I knew it would be a late night and I did not want to have to head into work for an eight o'clock shift tired from the night before.

Yesterday was the day to do this.  Dawned my purple cloths and red hat and set off for Langley.  Said that we should meet at the events centre in Langley to catch a bus at 4:30, but time got changed to 5:00.  Well I was there in plenty of time just in case the bus was early.  Drove around this huge parking lot wondering where we were suppose to meet up..  Well after awhile I said whatever and parked were I could see the whole or at least most of the paring lot.  In a little while a few other ladies showed up and parked at back of parking lot.  You couldn't miss them they were all in purple and red hats.  At least that is one way to find someone.  Unless everyone is dressed that way.

So now out in a hot parking lot waiting for a bus to show up.  And waiting and waiting and then some more waiting.  Finally at 5:45 a bus rolls in.  Now it is not what we were expecting.  This was not a luxury coach line bus but a rickety bus that if you go over a bump will end up flying up in you seat and hoping you land back on your seat on the way down.  No air conditioning to speak of.  Windows did open though which was a plus.

So now the bus did not get filled up with red hatters going so the tour group approached a seniors centre and asked if they would like to go.  Well the bus did fill up after that.  So wehad to make another stop in surrey to pick up some more adventurers.  Mind you this is an adventure.

From there with a full bus and driving around smaller roots instead of taking the freeway we come across traffic heading into the city of Vancouver.  Yes lots of traffic!!!  Guess what another event is going on the same time.  Justine timberlane is doing a concert this night as well.  Vancouver is just packed with cars and people  EVERYWHERE!!!  Parking is 40 dollars.   Well at least we cameo by bus so did not need to worry about that.

Sonow after a few run arounds in order to find a place to be dropped off we are finally off the bus.

Okay now where do we go?  Standing therein a group just gaucking at all the activity going on around us.  Finally a tour guide comes up and says we go this way.  Well this way was a bit of a walk past the casino and down the ramp to where the dock is.  Well we go down the wrong ramp.  Back up we go and over to another ramp.  Down again and over the dock to where the boat is moored.  Now mind you it is not to bad walking for me but some of the ladies have walkers and bad knees and such and are not able to make it too far when it comes to walking.

So onto the boat we go where wear we are hurded into a room with dining seating.  Cramed in I say.  So they could get as many people out ontheis tour as they could.  Your back was right up against someone else's back so did not make it easy to get in and out of your chair when you had to get up to pee or something.  And it was buffet type meal so did have to get up together your food.

Well we sat in this confined space while the motors worked their magic down below us.  Well at least we where toon level lower.  The sound of the engines and the exhaust that was coming in would be unbearable down lower.  But they had another seating are below with the same set up.  It must have been hot down there.

Well after a couple motor reavings that we thought we were taking off had gone through we were finally off and out on the water.  Dodging other boats to take a cruise around the harbour.  Well at least it had cooled down in there with the wind blowing through the cabin area.  Still feeling a little claustrophobic though.

Okay now where is our meal.  We are siting down for it.  Some ladies drinking wine and others coffee.  Me just water thanks.  Never been one for that stuff.  Well water does bad enough in having to go pee.  Need to get out now.  Ladies room is calling.  Finally the meal is out.  One table up at a time.  Well we need to have this lady at our table served as she has a walker and needs help. Before the line gets too long and she cannot maneuver to get around other people.  So now other tables are getting up.  Then tables from lower deck are being told to come and get food.  Well what about our table.  And the table behind us.  Do we not get to eat?  So finally adjust decided to get up and go whether he liked it or not.  So went and stood in line to have to wait until more food was brought out.  No veggies left, not buns left.  So stood there and waited.  Finally some stuff came out but not what you were looking for.  This is getting discouraging here.  And I am starting to get a headaches from being so closedin and the exhaust.  Well are we having fun yet?  Got to see the lions gate bridge from underneath though.  Obey really exciting.

Meal is finished. Salmon that is not really cooked though to my likening and beef that is over cooked.  Not real veggies or buns and desert is not out yet.  I had enough of being cooped up inside and head topside.  Aw fresh air and it is not too cold.  Find a seat up there by the railing and watch the sunset.  First fine thing I have seen tonight.  All the boats on the water are making it tough to get around the bay.  Have to get a good spot to see the fireworks.  I guess this boat has a spot that is reserved for him though out facing the barge

So while sitting out on deck a small airplane started doing some maneuvers as in a little air show for us to watch.  He did loops and dives and turns all while smoke coming out of his plane.  Interesting to watch.  He sure came close to the water a few times on those dives.

After that the dusk is now soon us.  Starter fireworks are going off every 15 minutes to say show will be starting soon.  Our boat gets into position to get the best view.  I had a perfect seat up on deck and the her turned the boat the other way.  So had to get up and move to other side.  Then he moves again and it is time for me to move again.  Alright if he stops turning the boat I have a great view.  Yes he doesn't turn anymore.  I am right by the railing and can see everything.  My gosh all the boats out there you could walk to shore and not get wet.  Just step from one to another.

The show finally begins.  BOOM, BANG,BOOM,!! Off goes another one.  You can not here the music that goes along with it but it is dang impressive.  Oh guezz it is after ten.  Thei is going robe a late night.  I just know it.  More BOOM,BANG,  BOOM,!!  Some even have shapes of heart and happy faces.  Neat,  I loved the show.  I think I got a few good pictures too. Usually in dark my pictures do not come out very well.

Oh well show is now over and time to go back to shore.  This is going to take awhile.  There are boats everywhere going every which way.  It takes and hour and half just to get back to the dock.  You can see boats trying to get in front and making it hard forthisbig boat to get back were he belongs.

Oh oh it looks like there is lightening going off as well over Vancouver,  just a little though.  But it does light up the high rises on shore.

We get off the boat after ithasfinally docked. Oh for peats sak it is now 12:30 .  One late night coming up.  As we get off the boat the concert is getting out at the sometime,  great. People everywhere.  Trying to get to their cars.  Orto the sky train.  It is just one big parking lot out there.  We have to walk along wa to get to were the bus is going to pick us up. Now thinking of the ladies that have trouble walking.  Great for them.  Then we stand and stand and stand just waiting.  The us cannot get anywhere near we're it has to pick us up.  So we stand some more.  I am getting dang tired and the headacheis not much better.

I watch the younger people who have just come out of the concert.  The highest heals they can wear and the shortest skirts or shorts with out being naked.  Then there are the tops that really do not hide much of anything.  I know I use to wear heals but i don't think that high.  Now I would just fall off of them and break something.  But the contrast between the ladies I was with and what had come out of the concert.  Just a sight to see both generations and how the dress is so different.

Well you knowi don't get out much so some strange things do fascinate me.  Like looking at the tall building and the amount of people around.  Compared to where I live in small town BC.

So now two. O'clock in morning na finally boarding the bus.  Traffic is still nasty.  Bus driver goes down kingsway to grandview to hopefully get away from traffic leaving down town are.  Well not much better luck but a little easier driving.  He does seem to find every bump going though.  Get to expressway and runs into and accident.  Slowing down more traffic.  And there should not be this much traffic this late at night.

Drop off the ladies in surrey.  Has to wait for one lady to have her ride pick her up.  So sitting in a parking lot for a few more minutes.

Finally back on the road onto expressway to Langley.  Getting closer.  Onto 200 th and back to events centre. Oh oh. The gate is locked. Hmmm!!! Drive to next entrance.  That gate is closed too.  But my car is just on the other side of gate.   Okay how does the us get in and how the heck we get out?    Driver drives around to back entrance.  Oh no another gate.  This is not looking good.  One,ore road to try.  And open road.  Yes into it we go. Follow it around.  Are getting closer to parking lot.  Another gate.  Drive a little further around this parking lot and yes an opened gate.  Someone goofed, but good for us.  So through the bus goes.  Follow the road a little and come up to behind the events centre.  There are our cars and no gate blocking us out. Yes can go home for what is left of the night. It is now almost 3 o'clock.  Great.  Really would love to home to my own bed.

Off the bus an into my own car.  Lets see how did that bus get in here.  Follow this driveway around back to this road and take this driveway.  Oh that gate is closed.  Where from here.  Oh yeah over this driveway.  Oopps!  Thereis a curb I didn't see.  Scrap bottom of my bug.. It isn't going to like me for at.  Was that a driveway or a sidewalk too narrow for a car.  That could have been the big bump the bus had gone over.  Well at least I am on my way home.  Straight onto the freeway and a mad dash for home.  Yes within the speed limit but still a mad dash home.    The freeway is almost empty.  Easy driving.  I should have made sure that the rest of the ladies got out okay but the bus was following behind everyone else to get out.  So they should have been fine.

three fifeteen in the morning and I am resting my weary head on my pillow.  That was one long day and quite an adventure.  Really do not want to do too many like that.  Red hatting does have its adventures but please this was way past my bedtime..

So until next time.  Talk to you later.  I think it is time for a nap now

Tuesday, 23 July 2013

So it has been a while since I have been here.

Just thinking about what is to come this year.

I have paid for my membership again for this year.  Gonna have a good time this year.  It is making me smile just thinking about it.  I do not get much in the way of smiling these day.  Between work and my arthritis and fibro acting up allot it has been a trying time for me.

Last year I signed up to do a few funvations.  They are getting closer now and I am getting excited about it.  If the chicken in me would just take the last train out of town I would be allot happier though. I am having my doubts.  Can I do this on my own or should I just hide out in the house where I know nothing is going to happen..boring!!!   No I  will not give in on the chicken.  I am going to go.  Yes sir ree I am.  Um!! But can I do this.  The heck with it yes you can.  The money is spent and now you are going to get on that plane in two weeks and play like there is no tomorrow.  Well maybe not that much but just a little and play dress up in the best blingy I have.

Well now speaking of blingy.  I was in the mall the other day and low and behold. The most gorgeous necklace and earrings I have ever seen.  Shiny shiny shiny.  I just had to have.  Colours of red and purple stones.  Then in sears and found a purple dress that fit perfectly.  It was full of sequins and the best part it was 75 percent off.  Long and purple.  Something to wear to dress up day.  Then I hit the le chatuea and came up with a pair of leopard skin shoes.  I have a costume that will dazzle the best of them.  Probably won't be the blingyest but will be shining in my own right.  So now I have to go I got the outfit to wear.

The next night we are suppose to wear costume.  Well mine will not be the greatest but it has a red hat and a purple dress. I am calling it the wicked witch of the west outfit as the theme is over the rainbow. Well it may not be that good a costume but hey I tried.  Could just wear red and purple and not worry too much about it. Just bling myself up.

So other then the two nights of fun fun fun there will probably things going on all day.  Should be busy busy busy.  I will be so pooped by the time I get home.  And yes I believe I will have allot of fun.  The ambassador queen has taken me under her wing to help me out on my first time out.  So will not be too bad.

In the next couple of weeks I am going out to a couple of events here.  One is a dinner to celebrate the seasoned red hatters of the group around this area.  Then the other event is a cruise on English bay to see the fireworks from the water.  That should be a blast.

So besides the conventions coming up and the things taking place around this area should be keeping my self pretty busy.

On top of that I am making a few items crocheting and woodworking in the theme of red hatting.  Have made a few shawls and scarves.  A couple of light catchers are in the works done in glass and wood.  I have made and afghan that is going to Las Vegas for a raffle draw.  And I also made a wall hanging that will be for a pirate event coming up in September. This was sewn by hand and has a pirate ship and a parrot on it.  Looks great for my first time sewing something.  Would have been better with a sewing machine but hey I do not have one.  So I did allot of needle in and needle out.  Pricked my fingers a few times.  Said a few nasty words, but it came out pretty good.

Well it has been a year that I have been a red hatter.  Have gotten to know a few new friends.  An doing a little traveling and all round enjoying myself.  I still have the chicken in me telling why am I doing this,b it I am getting out and being social. Big plus. For some one who is totally a hermit when it comes to going places and talking to people.  I still do not talk much but I am a good listener.  Well that is when I am listening to other people besides my hubby.  Then it is selective hearing as he would say.

So now I hope for many more years of red hatting.  I am so glad I joined. They have welcomed me in with open arms,  blinged me up dressed me up and sorta have taken me out of my shell.  Well I am getting there anyways.  Still have a shell but it is getting thinner.  I hope.  So now in the next few weeks you will have commentary on how I am holding up at these funvations.  Firestone I have company to help me along the way, but the second one I will be traveling solo and seeing how I hold up..  I will be a pro at it in no time.  I hope!!!

Talk to you later

Sewing away on a new project

Pirate day is coming up.  Thought I would make something to put into a raffle for it. This is the first section.  A silhouette of a pirate ship.  Moon in behind..

So far so good.  It took me a couple of weeks to get this far. I am just putting bling around the outside now. Beads.

Next section is going to have a parrot on it.  Beautiful coloured bird on a branch.  Hoping this will turn out as good as the ship did.

Then it will have a background of crossbones and skulls.  On the back I have a piece of material that is purple and has crossbones on it.

Well I will keep plucking away at it and hope it turns out.

As for red hat things going on.  There is not much in this month except the international hoot day.  There are two of them close by here.  One is at the tulalup resort in Washington.  The other is in Stevenson .  You just drop in and socialize then do your own thing for the rest of the time.

I am not sure whether I am going to either of these.  They are a bit of a drive.  I did say I wanted to spread my wings and do this stuff.  If I am feeling a little better I may go to one of them.  I asked for the day off so will think about it.

So since not much else on the books will close on a short note here tonight

Saturday, 11 May 2013

So things coming up and things have already been to.

So last night went to a play in Mission.  Here is a picture that was taken after the play was over.  It is a picture with the cast.  The cast was a blast to talk to after wards.  They are such a fun bunch of people and fit right into the parts they were playing..

In the front is Darlyne then me and then one of the cast members and then the queen of our group Pauline.  The lady in back second from the left is a queen from another group.  She had a part in the play.

Th play was called Nanas Naughty Knickers.  It was about a granny who lives in a rent controlled building.  She is making more money on the side by making langerie for plus size ladies, but she does not tell her landlord or he will kick her out or raise her rent.  Her granddaughter comes to stay with her for a few days.  While she is there she has to keep her secret from her granddaughter.  Her granddaughter is getting friendly with a cop that helped her carry her boxes up stairs.  Now the granny has a cop and granddaughter and a landlord she has to keep a secret from.  But now she has a client coming to pick up some items. Mishap starts to happen and eventually the granddaughter knows about the naughty knickers and is trying to keep the secret as well but is so recourse about itbecause granny   has not claimed any of the taxes or income to the government.  So now figures granny will head for jail.  The landlord soon figures out but before he can evict her the big client comes in .  The thing is the big client just happens to be the landlords wife.  She convinces the landlord that if granny is kicked out and the business is closed then there will be no more naughty knickers that she will be wearing anymore.  So the business goes on and granny gets to stay in her rent controlled apartment.

The play was a laugh a minute to watch.

Before the play I had picked up Pauline a little early and brought her up to my house to see my crafty stuff.  She really wanted to see my crafts.  So I showed her around the house.  Impressing it was to her.  She loved all the things that I had made and are now displayed down stairs.

Well onto other things now.  Upcoming events that aim planning on going to.

In July I am going to take a night cruise along the Fraser river and and watch the fire works from the water.  There is a dinner served and drinks.  Sounds like it will be a great night.

August I am going to Sacramento to a funvation.  This one is called somewhere over the rainbow.  It will go with the theme of Dorothy and her time in oz.  so one night is a a consume ball that I still have to get together and make.  Another night is very dress up.  Okay how do I get a fancy hat there in a suitcase without rushing it.  I am going out on this one with a few ladies from around here.  This will give me my first experience of a funvation

September I will be going to Reno.  O boy it is only three days but I should have a great time.  This one I am trying on my own.  I may see a few ladies there that I know from around here, but will not be traveling with them.  My new adventure of seeing whether traveling on my own is going to get rid of some chicken shit in me.

The third one is in ferndale.  Just across the border.  Going to go down there for the day and watch a fashion show of such.  What the ladies that are walking the runway are doing as modelling lampshade hats.  They had to decorate them with dollar store items.  There is dinner along with it and lots of fun.

Then there is almost a year from now were I will be heading to Las Vegas for a week and then there is Oshawa next April.  So I now have palate full of things to be doing

But now I find out there is another one I just heard about.  Should I go or not.  This is a big one.  Going to be so many red hats at this.  It is suppose to be like the big one they had in Atlanta this year.  It will be held in San fransico.  So can I save enough to go to this one as well as all the other things I am going to.  I think I can.  I think I can I think I can!!!  I do really want to go so I better buckle down.  Then I am going to pester off and only go to one or two a year.  I can't keep spending like this or I will not be  able to go anywhere when I really need to go.

There is also the fact that eventually I will not be to move around as much as what I can now. Which will make it so I am not able to do anything anyways. I am going to keep it up as long as I can but once my problems start getting too bad I will be limited in what I can do.  Travel may be one of them.  If the arthritis gets too bad I will be limited in what I can do.  So get the best of it done now before things start to take over on me.

So now life for me is limited.  I do what I can now because in the future I may be not able to do what I should have done when I was able to.  So red hatters away.  Lets have fun, fun, fun now until not able to do anymore.  Meet new friends and enjoy life.
